Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Fixes 2020/2021 Admission Policy Meeting on June 15th and 16th, 2020 with the Hon Minister of Education, Heads of Tertiary Institutions, CEOs of Regulatory Agencies in Education and all Critical Stakeholders.
This is to inform the General Public and candidates who sat for the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)that the board has announced the dates for the 2020 admission policy meeting where the admission cut-off marks for this year’s admission exercise will deliberated on and eventually announced.
According to the JAMB’s Head of Media and Information, Dr. Fabian Benjamin the board has fixed the policy meeting for June 15th and 16th 2020.
Cut off marks for this year’s admission exercise will be decided at the policy meeting which will be chaired by the Hon Minister of Education, all heads of tertiary institutions, CEOs of regulatory agencies in education and all other critical stakeholders.
The general public are hereby informed to disregard all any cut-off marks being circulated by “fraudsters,” describing it as “fake.”
Until this meeting is held no body can talk about cut off mark. You are advised to disregard any such marks being paraded online.
The meeting will discuss critical issues bordering on the advances made in the educational sector in the last one year in addition to setting the tone for the 2020/2021 Admission exercise.
The meeting will also chart policy directions for the nation’s tertiary institutions, set admission guidelines and make a holistic review of application statistics, performance as well as evaluate the 2019 admissions exercise.
The meeting, in addition to other deliberations, would take a stand on concessional and acceptable minimum admissions standards to be applied in all admissions to be undertaken by all tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
